Bible Les livres prophétiques

Bible Les livres prophétiques is an educational and reference app available on Android. Developed by Stan Dumitra, this app provides a French translation of the prophetic books of the Bible. The translation was done by Augustin Crampon, a Catholic translator and exegete, who directly translated the canonical books from Hebrew, Aramaic, and Greek sources.

Augustin Crampon, a canon of the Amiens Cathedral, began his translation work by focusing on the Gospels, considering the unique style of each evangelist. This work was published inLater, as a canon of Amiens, Crampon continued his translation work on the entire biblical text, adding extensive annotations with historical, geographical, and moral remarks. Unfortunately, his work was interrupted by his death in 1894, but the "Crampon translation" was completed and revised, and was published in a bilingual edition in 1904, with the Latin Vulgate text alongside the French translation. A single-volume version, exclusively in French, was printed in Tournai in 1905.

Please note that in the text, the Name of God or divine Tetragrammaton is represented by the four consonants "YHWH," sometimes written as "Yahweh." The vowels are uncertain, and therefore the pronunciation of the Name of God is also uncertain. It is customary to replace the Name with "the Lord" or "the Eternal" when reading it aloud.

This app presents the completed edition of 1923, providing a faithful reading of the text.
